A root canal is necessary when dental trauma or extensive tooth decay damages the pulp. We remove the infected pulp and seal the canal(s) inside the tooth. Usually only a single visit is required. We highly recommend crowning your tooth following a root canal. This is to ensure the strength, aesthetics, full form and function of your tooth is restored.
